1023, MW=6.2 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.

Stability: The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C.

Purity: >98% by SDS-PAGE.

Endotoxin Level: < 1EU per μg of EGF as determined by the LAL method.

Formulation:  Lyophilized  from  a  sterile  filtered  solution  containing  10  mM  Phosphate
Buffered Saline (PBS), pH 7.4, 138 mM NaCl, and 2.7 mM KCl.

Reconstitution: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute the lyophilized EGF in a sterile
solution  of  1xPBS  containing  0.1% BSA,  such  that  the  final  concentration  of  EGF  is  at  least
100μg/ml. Do  not  vortex. This  solution  can  be  stored  at  2-8°C  for  up  to  1 week,  or  stored  as
working aliquots at -20°C to -80°C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/ thaw cycles.

Biological Activity:  ED50  is  <  0.1  ng/ml.  ED50 was  determined  by  a  cell  proliferation  assay
using BALB/c 3T3 cells.
