BCA-1, Human BCA1(CXCL13) Recombinant
Catalog # 90104-B
Size: 20 µg
Description: Recombinant human
BCA1 (B cell- attracting chemokine 1),
also known as CXCL13 or BLC, is a
disulfide-linked monomeric protein
consisting of 88 amino acids and
migrates as an approximately 10 kDa
protein under reducing and non-reducing
conditions. Human CXCL13, generated by
the proteolytic removal of the signal peptide
and propeptide, has a calculated molecular
mass of ~10 kDa.
Source: Optimized DNA sequence
encoding human BCA1 mature domain
was expressed in E. coli.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm
filtered solution containing 20 mM
phosphate buffer, pH 7.5, 100 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution: Reconstitute at 0.1-1.0
mg/mL in distilled water. This solution
can then be diluted into other buffers. To
maximize product collection from vial
surface, vortex briefly and then spin
down to recollect the liquid.
Storage: The lyophilized protein is
stable for at least 2 years from date of
receipt when stored at -20°C. Upon
reconstitution, store in working aliquots
at 2 - 8° C for up to one month, or at
-20°C for up to six months, in the
presence of a carrier protein. Avoid
repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Purity: >98%, as determined by SDS-PAGE
and HPLC.
Endotoxin Level: Endotoxin level was
found to be < 0.1 ng/μg (1EU/μg), using
the LAL gel clot method.
Biological Activity: Determined by its
ability to chemoattract human T cells
using a concentration range of 2.0-10.0
ng/ml.
